Publication date (and time) of the latest virus definition file
Norman is normally publishing new virus definition files (virus signature files) once each working day. When the day's files are available for download, the date for latest publishing will be updated accordingly automatically.
Sometimes there is a need for extraordinary releases of virus definition files (e.g. if a new virus is seen in the wild and spreading rapidly). In these cases the time for the latest release of that day's virus definition files are included. The time used is UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). Use this link for conversion between your time and UTC (the link opens a separate browser window).
Norman's antivirus products are normally updated by running the Norman Internet Update program module. Whenever this is run, the module checks for new program updates and download these if available. The default setup in Norman Internet Update is to check for updates automatically once each day.
